Rutube

Section: Video platforms · rt

Rutube uses the same video-focused approach: PPD, engagement medians, and totals for views/likes/comments. Verification and recency of the latest upload help interpret channel quality.

What this page includes

A metric table, worked examples, and short platform-specific notes.

How to read the examples

All numbers are illustrative. They are here to explain the formula, not to describe a specific account.

Which metrics this page shows

Metric Key Type How to read it
Rutube subs rt_count Count A direct count without extra recalculation.
Rutube videos rt_videos Count A direct count without extra recalculation.
Total views rt_total_views Count A direct count without extra recalculation.
Publication rate rt_ppd Posting rate How many publications come out per day on average within the selected period.
VR (median) rt_VR_median Percent Typical value across publications: the median.
Like rate (median) rt_LR_median Percent Typical value across publications: the median.

Example: cadence and median calculation

For video platforms, posting frequency and typical per-video metrics are usually the most important. Below is a sample calculation.

Inputs

  • Period: 28 days
  • Videos: 10

Calculation steps

  1. Publication rate
    10 / 28
    = 0.36 videos/day
  2. Rutube median views
    median([12000, 15000, 18000, 26000, 34000])
    = 18000
  3. Comment rate (median)
    median([0.10, 0.13, 0.17, 0.20, 0.24])
    = 0.17%
  4. Total views of the set
Sum of views across all videos included in the analysis
    = 280 000 views

If there are no valid values for a median, dstat returns an empty field rather than a fake 0%.

Platform-specific nuances

  • The key public set is rt_ppd, rt_views_median, rt_total_views, rt_total_likes, and rt_total_comments.
  • rt_CR_median is the median comment rate, while totals describe the overall signal volume for the period.
  • If videos have not been published for a while, time_since_last_upload and upload_consistency explain that low activity is a posting frequency issue, not only a quality issue.
