Sostav

Section: Content platforms · sostav

Sostav focuses on posts in period and article views: total, typical, and average. This is a good case for reading volume together with distribution.

What this page includes

A metric table, worked examples, and short platform-specific notes.

How to read the examples

All numbers are illustrative. They are here to explain the formula, not to describe a specific account.

Which metrics this page shows

Metric Key Type How to read it
Subscribers sostav_subscribers_count Count A direct count without extra recalculation.
Total posts sostav_feeds_total Count Total across all publications included in the analysis.
Total blog views sostav_views_total Count Sum of views across publications included in the analysis.
Views (median) sostav_views_median Count Typical number of views per publication.
Views (average) sostav_views_average Value Average number of views per publication.
Posts (period) sostav_posts_in_period Count A direct count without extra recalculation.
Publication rate sostav_ppd Posting rate How many publications come out per day on average within the selected period.

Example: view-counter calculation

For content platforms, the key signals are publishing frequency and article views: total, average, and typical.

Inputs

  • Period: 28 days
  • Publications: 10
  • Publication views: 9 000, 12 000, 15 000, 18 000, 24 000

Calculation steps

  1. Publication rate
    10 / 28
    = 0.36 posts/day
  2. Total blog views
    9 000 + 12 000 + 15 000 + 18 000 + 24 000
    = 78 000 views
  3. Views (median)
    median([9000, 12000, 15000, 18000, 24000])
    = 15000
  4. Views (average)
    78 000 / 5
    = 15600.00 views per publication

Median and average should be read together: the average shows the overall level, while the median protects against one outlier hit.

Platform-specific nuances

  • The key public set is sostav_posts_in_period, sostav_ppd, sostav_views_total, sostav_views_median, and sostav_views_average.
  • sostav_blog_url can be hidden in client text if canonical site_sostav_url already exists.
  • Totals and median/average should be read together: volume alone does not show how views are distributed across publications.
